About Gracie Baer
Gracie is an artist working with video, performance, sculpture, and photography. Her research and practice draw parallels between human and animal habits, the temporality of being to the ephemeral in ecological forms, while also investigating the domination of nature and femme bodies. She received her MA in Sculpture and Intermedia in 2022 from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing her MFA in Sculpture and Intermedia, with a secondary emphasis in Photography, at the University of Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s in photography and a minor in creative writing. Baer has been an artist in resident at the Atlantic Center for the Arts and the Kansas Field art Forum. Her work has been published in Analog Forever Magazine and Borderline Press Common Ground Zine, among other publications.
